Yazoodle is a paper-and-pen game. There is no account, no email and no phone number, and we never ask for your location, contacts or photos.

Kept on your phone only

Your in-game name, your pen look, gems, stats and settings stay on the device.

When you play online

A random ID made on your phone (not tied to who you are), your in-game name and pen look connect you to other players. Our server keeps that ID, your name, your friend code, your friends list and how many games you played and won per game (for leaderboards). Rude names are replaced automatically.

Crashes and statistics (Firebase by Google)

Firebase Crashlytics: if the app crashes or hits an error, a report with the device model, Android and app versions, the error details and a random installation ID is sent. Used only to fix problems.

Firebase Analytics: counts how the game is used in general: which game was played, whether a match was won or lost, which shop item was bought and which rewarded ad was watched, with a random installation ID and general device and country information. Never your name or anything you type. Used to improve the game.

If Firebase is not available, error reports go to our own server instead (app version, Android version and the error text only).

Notifications

Notifications are sent with Firebase Cloud Messaging: game invites, a friend's poke, new friends, a friend passing you on the leaderboard, and a reminder if you have been away for a few days. For this our server keeps your phone's notification address, the game language, your time-zone offset (so we stay quiet at night) and when you last opened the game. At most 3 a day, and nothing between 23:00 and 09:00 except invites. Each kind can be switched off in Settings.

Ads

We show ads from Google AdMob. Google may collect the advertising ID, IP address and device information to serve and measure ads. In the EEA and UK we ask for your consent first; you can change it in Settings. See how Google uses data.

Children

The game is made for ages 13 and up and is not directed at younger children.

Deleting your data

In the app: Settings → Delete my data. It erases everything on our server and on your phone at once. More on the data deletion page.
